Swiss startup Hit the Green is the result of a combination of three long-term specialists in the engineering of high-end sports and automotive products including bicycles; manufacturing of watchmaking and medical devices, and distribution, sales and marketing.
Hit the Green has designed S-Walk, a golf cart that utilizes a rear-facing LiDAR sensor to measure how far away the golfer is, the cart then speeds or slows as the user does maintaining a set distance between them. S-Walk uses structural parts made from carbon fiber composites. The design and creation of the molds and tooling for the production of the golf carts are carried out within the company, allowing for complete control throughout the development and production chain.
This expertise is also found in the development of electronics and algorithms that offer S-Walk its intelligence and maximum freedom to golf players.
The electric golf cart uses Lithium-ion cells and LED Fuel gauge and the battery can travel up to 54 holes on steep paths.
The S-walk weighs only 8.9kg when assembled and becomes only 11 cm thick to be transported in a small car trunk. Each wheel can be removed and stored separately.
The S-Walk is currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign.
